What is PCA3?
PCA3 is a non-invasive genetic urine test which looks at the PCA3 gene detected in prostate cancer tissue.
Who should have a PCA3 test?
PCA3 is an ideal test for men with rising PSA and a negative prostate biopsy. This test can help the urologist decide which men should undergo another prostate biospy.
What is my role in the collection of the PCA3?
This urine test is collected after your urologist has examined and massaged the prostate to express prostate cells.
Does my insurance cover this test?
